En épocas de reinvindicación de cuerdas derechas..., un piano con cordal bien cruzado! / In times of vindication of straight parallel strings ... a piano with very diagonal-crossed ones!

En estas últimas semanas se ha hablado mucho sobre el nuevo piano diseñado a partir de una iniciativa del gran maestro Daniel Barenboim. Una de la principales diferencias que posee el mismo con los pianos utilizados actualmente, es el regreso al diseño de cuerdas paralelas. En un principio, los pianos fueron fabricados así, y luego con cuerdas cruzadas. /In recent weeks there has been talk much about the new piano designed from an initiative by the great maestro Daniel Barenboim. Y es precisamente que el piano de la foto de arriba no sólo no tiene cuerdas paralelas, sino que además están cruzadas más de una vez! Es un piano alemán marca Ibach. En aquellos años en que fue fabricado, los diseñadores estaban dedicados a la implementación de innovaciones, buscando la optimización del instrumento. It is a German brand Ibach piano. Como verán, siempre hubo innovaciones, y la mayoría de las veces, como el diseño de este piano, quedaron en el camino. Los cambios muy radicales, casi nunca prosperaron. Me dicen que el Barenboim es muy buen piano, pero no creo que los grandes fabricantes decidan construir pianos similares en el futuro. Esa es mi humilde opinión./ You see, there was always innovations, and most of the time, like the design of this piano, fell by the wayside. The very radical changes, hardly ever prospered.  I was told that the Barenboim is a very good piano, but I don't think that the big manufacturers decide to build similar pianos in the future. That is my humble opinion.
